Healthy Body. Healthy Mind. The elderly need a physical outlet for their brain to stay active.
Just 10 Minutes a Day↗Long, inactive days
deserve attention.
Research links regular physical activity in older adults with better well-being and lower risk of conditions such as heart disease and type 2 diabetes. WHO guidance ↗
*“Risk” refers to relative dementia hazard (HR 1.63), comparing 12 with 9.27 sedentary hours/day. Sedentary time is time spent sitting or reclining while awake, not a measure of doing no exercise. This observational association does not establish cause or a benefit from FunPunch or 10 minutes of play.
What did the study measure?
UK Biobank participants were followed for a mean 6.72 years. The adjusted hazard ratio was 1.63 (95% CI 1.35–1.97). This is not a 63-percentage-point increase, an individual prediction or evidence that FunPunch prevents dementia.
